About the Therapist

Hello, I am Heidi Van Der Bosch an Illinois State Licensed Massage Therapist with 13 years experience. I attended College of Lake County, Arizona School of Integrated Sciences in 2009-2010 where I graduated in May of 2010 and received my licensure in July of that year. My goal as a massage therapist is to facilitate healing and awareness within the body. Through the use of various massage techniques, I can effect the musculoskeletal system, circulatory, lymphatic as well as the nervous systems. Your session will always be tailored to your need(s) at the moment. This is done through conversation and my trained assessment.

I am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and am a certified medical massage practitioner. All the services provided by Indigo have certifications that have been obtained by me, your therapist.

I am so proud and excited to introduce Indigo Massage Therapy as a woman individually owned and operated therapeutic practice.

Our Services

  • Basic Service

Deep Tissue Massage targets chronic tension in muscles that lie far below the body's surface. Deep muscle techniques involve slow strokes, direct pressure or friction movements that go across the muscle grain.

Relaxation Massage is a smooth, gentle treatment that relieves muscular tension, increases circulation, and promotes a general sense of relaxation.

Prenatal Massage is a full body massage performed by a certified prenatal massage therapist that is similar to a Swedish massage (like what you might experience at a spa) except for a few modifications with body positioning that can ensure the safety and comfort for both mother and baby.

Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction Massage an intra-oral massage that work the muscles around the temporomandibular joint to alleviate tension and pain.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage- 60 minutes

Uses light, slow, rhythmic skin movements and gentle pressure to move the skin in specific directions based on the lymphatic system's structure encouraging fluid and waste to drain through the appropriate channels..

Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage (post operation) -30 minutes

Post operative lymphatic massage moves the inflammation and trauma (hardness/lumpiness), caused by the surgical instruments, into the lymphatic vessels. Reducing swelling, bruising and discomfort.

After a cosmetic surgical procedure doctors require MLD done next day and 2-3 times per week for several weeks. Call or email in advance to surgical procedure to schedule these 30 minute sessions.

    Raindrop Therapy by Young Living

Utilizes unique, targeted massage with young living premium, authentic essential oils for a deeply harmonizing (physically, mentally and emotionally), rejuvenating, and relaxing experience. The combination of oils are said to boost immunity. Along with structurally and electrically align the spine.

  • Alternate Techniques

These techniques are certified modalities that can be incorporated within your session if the therapist deems necessary. They include:

Cupping is a form of massage therapy which decompresses soft tissues using vacuum suction. Cupping is very relaxing and generally not painful.

Myofascial release therapy is a type of gentle, constant massage that releases tightness and pain throughout your myofascial tissues.

Hot stones can be incorporated into the sessions to help relieve muscle pain and tension, reduce inflammation, and improve flexibility.

The heat from the stones can also help massage therapists manipulate deep tissue more effectively, which can help with chronic pain

Passive Stretch is a technique in which you are relaxed and make no contribution to the range of motion. Instead, an outside agent creates force, either manually or mechanically.
